El Servicio de Ciudadanía e Inmigración de Estados Unidos anunció que las personas que anteriormente recibieron DACA ahora pueden presentar en línea el Formulario I-821D...
This week, Wednesday June 15th, marks 10 years since immigrant youth won the DACA program, providing temporary legal status to people who came here as children.
The program was won through relentless organizing by undocumented young people of color and allies across the country. A decade later, DACA is still under attack. We’re demanding something permanent .
Last year, the U.S. House acted, providing a pathway to citizenship for immigrants under DACA, for farmworkers and other essential workers, and for those here because of emergencies in their home countries. The Senate is yet to act .
Even as DACA has been in place for a decade, its future remains at risk and 11 million undocumented people remain under the threat of detention and deportation without any form of protection . That is why we’re joining immigrant communities and their allies nationwide to call on President Biden and Congress to act.
Sign Now: Enough temporary protections. We demand permanent protections for immigrants.
To win these temporary protections, young people bravely shared their stories, forced the nation to reckon with injustices towards immigrant communities, and demanded that then-President Obama stop the deportations separating communities. A decade later, it’s beyond time for something permanent .
Thank you for taking action to protect those who are already home.
In solidarity,
Dominique Espinoza
